I know it’s a tad late to be thinking about, and most have already gotten it all done, but I just HAD to ask you all…how do you decorate your homes?
I mean, I love decorating for Christmas! The last few years, though, I’ve been much too tired. So, I’ve been just doing our tree and some garland on the windows. Kids’ stockings and their little advent calendar tree. Kind of pathetic, actually. My kiddos don’t really seem to mind, though. Their favorite part is the tree. More specifically putting their ornaments on the tree. My daughter absolutely LOVES putting the topper on. I went with a real tree this year – my first one since I was a kid, actually – for my birthday. It’s much smaller than I wanted but it was conveniently at our local grocery store. We all love it!

(Don’t mind the Family Guy…)
We get new ornaments every year. I have made a tradition of it. I order 2 new ones with their photos on them and the year. Then we go to the store – usually Walmart – and they get to pick out a new one for the tree. I put the year on them, as well. They just love having that freedom to choose for themselves. And I love witnessing that excitement.
I see so many homes decorated all pretty and I just love it. I can’t help but home that my family can someday have the time and energy to do our home all nice like that. I’m not a very creative person by any means but I can put together some lights. Even just some lights on the porch would be cute, which I actually found the energy to do this year. I think the last time I did that was the first Christmas in this house we’re in now. That was 6 years ago this year.

I had some time off work, and our annual Christmas photo session was coming up fast, so I went out and bought some pretty lights and put them out as our photos were taking place at our own home this year. I can’t wait to see them! In the meantime, our house looks so cute! Even with only the little bit that I did.

Anyway, my absolute favorite part of decorating for Christmas is how excited my kids get during and especially after it’s all put up and beautiful. And isn’t that the best part anyway? Making your kiddos smile? 🙂
Now, I want to see some decorations! Show me in the comments! Trees, lights, all of it!
Don’t forget! Jesus is the reason for the season!
Merry Christmas from the Frosts! <3

I had a tradition going with my tree skirt for the longest time. It was just a blank red skirt. And I would get a felt craft for the boys to create every year and I would glue it to the tree skirt with the year on them and their initials. And their little crafts slowly wrapped around the skirt..
I absolutely love Christmas traditions!🥰
That sounds like so much fun! Do you have any pictures? <3
