Don’t You Miss It?

As I watch them play with their cousins, complaining and arguing but also having so much fun dancing and singing together, I just can’t help but miss when they were tiny. I miss the snuggles and the tiny giggles. I miss the closeness and the bonding. I miss their tiny baby scent!

I know, I know…it all comes with the sleep deprivation and the poopy diapers. But those are so worth all the toothless smiles when they see you walk into the room. You know I’m right! 😉

My little girl is turning 4 in two days, and I can’t help but let those memories take over. It’s an odd feeling: sadness for my babies growing much too fast but happiness for the beautiful souls these 2 tiny people are already beginning to show. <3

It all makes me curious as to who they’ll be when they grow up and move out. Will they have a family? Or will they decide to become more of a businessperson? Will they live near their mama? Will they decide to move far away from all of us? That last one is a terrifying thought! 🙁

The most important thing we all need to remember is to live in the moment. Remember all the good times, yes, but we need to enjoy our babies while they’re young and love them through everything. The messes, the chaos, and even the inevitable tantrums. At the end of the day, they will snuggle up to you and make you feel so guilty for the anger you felt with all the stress they caused throughout the day. This happens to me every time! Ha! 😀

They say our babies are our future. We should try our best to make it a great one for them! <3
