First, I want to apologize for the very long lapse. It’s been quite a busy summer. I have barely had time to do much of anything but work, really. Summertime blues, if you will. Forgive me.
Second, I’ve decided that it was long past time to trade in my blue Hyundai. I’ve been wanting to be rid of her for a while but every time I thought about it, I just panic. This time, I jumped in headfirst! I decided to go on the site where I found my Hyundai and saw that there was a jeep that I’ve wanted and decided to try for a trade.
They accepted!
Even though my Hyundai was worth more than what I had left to pay, and the jeep I wanted was older and worth less, they still accepted. I was thrilled! I know that my jeep has a few things that need fixed (they’re waiting for parts to fix them), but that’s totally okay. I’m just so happy to finally have a vehicle I actually like!

I’m really not one for taking risks so this was pretty big for me. I think that even my hubby was a bit skeptical, but he backed me up 100%. I really love that about him.
The kiddos wanted to name her before we even finalized everything. So, we looked up a bunch of names and they decided they liked the name ‘Ruby’…she’s pretty sparkly so it’s perfect!
Since she’s older and not worth as much as my Hyundai, my payments are less, and our insurance went down a bit. This is very good news because that extra money can go toward the tuition for my little ones’ school.
This decision may just help me to be a bit more spontaneous and take more risks in the future. Highly doubtful but stranger things have happened. Ha!
I do know that I’d love to have a job where I can spend more time with the kids and still be able to afford everything we need (and some things we just want). Sadly, as of now, that’s not possible.
Now, I just have to find some decals to put on her back window.
So, tell me, mamas! What is one of the most memorable risks you’ve taken? Was it worth it? Did you regret it at all? Please share in the comment section.
